The fifth edition of the "National Urban District Tourism Research Report 2024" was recently released in Beijing. Huaxi district in Guiyang city has ranked 20th among China's top 100 urban districts for comprehensive tourism strength.
The research on comprehensive tourism strength of urban districts evaluates six aspects with 32 indicators: tourism development level, tourism marketing intensity, tourism driving effect, tourism infrastructure, tourism service facilities, and tourism market supervision.
Huaxi district is a major tourism area in Guiyang. In recent years, it has innovated itself through the integration of various tourism+ models, such as tourism + rural areas, tourism + sports, and tourism + culture, broadening its tourism development path.
Qingyan Ancient Town, located in Huaxi district, is a bustling area filled with tourists. Its ancient streets are lined with historic buildings, specialty snack shops, and folk experience stores, offering a rich and engaging experience.
As Guiyang's only national 5A-level tourist attraction, Qingyan Ancient Town has always been a favorite amongst visitors, attracting between 6 to 8 million tourists annually.
