Guizhou's first surface treatment industrial park opens in Huaxi

On Sept 8, the Huaxi District Surface Treatment Industrial Park in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, officially opened. Present at the ceremony were leaders from provincial, municipal, and district levels, along with representatives from Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group Co.

The Huaxi District Surface Treatment Industrial Park is a key initiative by Huaxi district intended to foster new quality productive forces, with the ultimate goal being to develop the electronic information manufacturing industry in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, as well as the broader province as a whole.

Guests at the ceremony toured the industrial park, watched a promotional video, and learned about the development plans and products of the companies already operating there. Guiyang Huaxi Southern Surface Treatment Base Investment Co signed agreements with several enterprises and universities for park entry and strategic cooperation.

The Huaxi District Surface Treatment Industrial Park is the largest electroplating facility in the province and the only one currently in operation. The park covers an area of 190 mu ($12.67 hectares), with a total investment of approximately 1.1 billion yuan ($154.44 million) and a total construction area of around 260,000 square meters.

It includes 17 standard factory buildings and can accommodate up to 200 high-standard production lines. To date, 10 companies have officially signed agreements to operate in the park, involving industries such as integrated circuits, chips, and high-end standard components.

The industrial park is expected to attract over 100 companies, which are projected to invest a total of 2 billion yuan in the park, achieve an annual output value of 5 billion yuan, contribute 150 million yuan in annual taxes to the local government, and create over 1,000 jobs, injecting strong momentum into the development of manufacturing not only in Guiyang and Gui'an, but Guizhou province as a whole.
