Four months after the last French exchange group visited Qingyan Ancient Town in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, the town once again welcomed guests from afar on Aug 16, including over 40 French enthusiasts of Chinese culture and practitioners of tai chi and qigong.

Once organized by the French Oriental Cultural Communication Center, the exchange event this time was held in an effort to further expand cooperation in cultural tourism between Guizhou and France, as this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and is also the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism.

During their visit to Qingyan Ancient Town, a series of activities were held, including the opening ceremony of the China-France Cultural and Health Exchange Series, a sharing session on cultural and health exchanges between China and France, and an art exchange reception.

During the exchange activities, Chinese martial arts masters showcased their skills. The French guests also took to the stage, demonstrating the tai chi moves they learned and showing their deep appreciation for Chinese martial arts.

Moreover, over 60 martial arts and qigong enthusiasts from Guizhou joined the French guests in practicing tai chi together. The French visitors, dressed in traditional ethnic attire, not only experienced Chinese culture firsthand, but also engaged in an in-depth cultural dialogue, immersing themselves in the charm of China's diverse cultural heritage.
