Huaxi cuisine spreads nationwide

On August 12, the CCTV program "Home for Dinner" aired an episode featuring signature dishes like spicy crispy pork knuckles and Huaxi oily chili, showcasing the rich culinary appeal of Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

In the episode, a local chef surnamed Zhou demonstrated his cooking skills with techniques like stir-frying, deep-frying, pan-frying and boiling. The crispy pork knuckles, drizzled with sizzling oily chili, are mouthwatering!

Huaxi is home to an array of delicious foods, including glistening, tender and flavorful Qingyan pork knuckles; sweet and smooth rice cake porridge; and rich and savory Huaxi beef rice noodles. These are all iconic dishes of Guizhou's unique culinary traditions.
