Qingyan Ancient Town springs to life with China Tourism Day celebrations

On May 19, the China Tourism Day activities of the Guizhou province sub-venue were launched in Qingyan Ancient Town in Huaxi district, Guiyang, the provincial capital.

Guiyang, as one of the six major host cities for China Tourism Day 2024, organized a series of vibrant cultural and tourism activities themed on "entertainment".

The opening ceremony was closely linked to the origins of "China Tourism Day," breaking away from traditional presentation formats. It centered on Xu Xiake's travels in Guizhou, creating an immersive theatrical script titled "Xu Xiake" that connected the various segments of the ceremony.

On that day, Mafengwo, the Guiyang Tourism Industry Association, and cultural and tourism promoters from Huaxi district introduced new cultural tourism products and experiences in Guizhou, Guiyang, and Huaxi. They showcased the rich cultural tourism and mountain sports resources, encouraging visitors to move beyond traditional tourism models and immerse themselves in the unique local culture, lifestyle, enthusiasm, and charm.
