Technicians revamp up rural development in Huaxi

Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently mobilized technicians to rural areas to provide technical guidance and training in an effort to advance rural development.

Technicians from both the municipal and district levels, drawing on their own expertise, focused on explaining common techniques in pest and disease prevention and control, spring cultivation and fertilization.

They helped farmers to actively apply green prevention and control and integrated pest management technologies, while farmers sought advice from experts on problems encountered in the cultivation of crops such as rice, rapeseed, maize, and chili peppers.

Huaxi has sent technicians to rural areas 11 times, with 200 people involved in the efforts. Moving forward, Huaxi will continue to arrange for technical personnel to enhance farmers' agricultural skills, powering ahead with local agriculture.
