Carnival held in celebration of Spring Festival in Huaxi

A grand Chinese-style carnival, filled with traditional charm and a festive atmosphere, was held at Huaxi Park on Feb 12.

Ten traditional-style floral boats sailed along the Huaxi River at 14:00, with nearly 30 performers onboard dressed in traditional attire gracefully dancing to the music under the sunlight.

Yang Lihong, a visitor, said that they made a special trip to see the floral boat parade, which was an amazing experience.

Running from Feb 10 to Feb 17, the carnival featured six main themes: "show, explore, dine, shop, entertain, and engage," offering attendees a cultural feast that included a marketplace showcasing traditional and contemporary Chinese culture, immersive Hanfu experiences, a carnival in a park, trendy celebrations, roadside concerts, spring blessings, and nighttime tours of Huaxi.

According to statistics, the carnival received an average of 65,000 visits daily from the first to the third day of the Lunar New Year.
