Skiing open kicks off in Huaxi

The 2024 "Genting Cup" Skiing Open kicked off at the Genting Ski Resort in Gaopo township, Huaxi district in Guiyang on Feb 5. Huang Jun, deputy director of the Guiyang bureau of sports, announced the opening of the competition at the launch ceremony.

This competition features multiple events, including youth dual-board slalom, adult single-board parallel slalom, family parent-child dual-board fun race, and more, encompassing various levels from amateur enthusiasts to professional athletes.

During the competition, in addition to intense skiing contests, a series of cultural exchange and tourism promotion activities will also be held, including skiing training, winter tourism exhibitions, and more, providing participants and spectators with a rich and diverse skiing experience.

As the first winter sporting event held in Huaxi, the competition is expected to pioneer new winter sports, create new winter tourism activities, and empower the integration and development of sports and tourism in Huaxi.
