Huaxi makes strides in industrial development in 2023

In 2023, Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, made major breakthroughs in its industrial economy.

Focusing on the district's "One major, one special" industries, Huaxi introduced 29 industrial projects during the period, seeing an expected growth of 6.5 percent of the added value of industries above designated size. The district's rapidly-developing ecological specialty food industry achieved an estimated output value of 670 million yuan ($93.40 million).

As part of efforts to boost the output value of Yanlou Industrial Park to more than 10 billion yuan, Huaxi optimized the park's planning and land layout, and added 2.3 square kilometers of industrial land. Additionally, the district completed the construction of 50.08 mu (7.51 hectares) of standardized factories and purchased and reserved 455.06 mu of industrial land.

The district also improved the transportation network and services of the industrial park to enhance its competitiveness.

In 2023, the district had five companies recognized as innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Guizhou province, two companies recognized as specialized and sophisticated SMEs at provincial-level, and one company honored as an advanced enterprise in promoting new industrialization development in Guizhou for the period of 2021-2023.
