With the arrival of summer, Yelang Valley, a renowned scenic spot in Huaxi district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, welcomes its peak tourist season, receiving an average of over 2,000 visitors per day.
Yelang Valley is an art project constructed and perfected by artist Song Peilun using materials such as stone. There are many stone panel paintings, stone castles, and stone pillars in the valley themed around masks and facial patterns.
So far, Yelang Valley has provided employment opportunities to over 100 relocated residents and serves as a platform for more than 60 intangible cultural heritage inheritors to showcase their talent.
