Fireworks, aquatic light show illuminate scenic area in Huaxi

A two-day firework and aquatic light show was staged at Tianhetan scenic area in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Dec 31 and Jan 1.

Zhao Fuyin, marketing director of Guizhou Tianhetan Tourism C, said that the main highlights of the show were the addition of cave lights, 80 meters of block ground interactive projection lights, fireworks-shaped lights, windmill lights, water-patterned lights, stage performances, and fountain shows.

Nearly 200 sets of lights and fireworks lit up the night sky at the scenic area, which was reflected vividly on the lake, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a spectacular scene.

The scenic area held a variety of activities on its square, such as a model catwalk, African drum dance, and folk song performances. In addition, the Guiyang Story Block in the scenic area installed various decorations featuring old Guiyang street scenes, attracting crowds of people looking to take photos.
