Huaxi wins national title for sustainable development

Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was honored as a national practice and innovation base for the "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" development philosophy on Nov 19. 

With beautiful natural scenery, plentiful ecological resources and a rich cultural heritage, Huaxi district is one of the first national demonstration zones for all-for-one tourism – a regional coordinated development model that takes tourism as an important industry in certain areas and uses the sector to drive and promote the whole region's socioeconomic development – and was among the third group of national demonstration areas of ecological civilization construction – China's environmental strategy for sustainable development. 

In recent years, Huaxi has been promoting the comprehensive transformation of economic and social development, consolidating and improving the quality of its ecological environment, and prioritizing eco-friendly development. 

Moving forward, the district will further improve its institutional mechanism, accelerate economic transformation and upgrading, and contribute to Guiyang's new achievements in ecological civilization construction.
