Huaxi achieves GDP growth of 6.3% in H1

The gross domestic product (GDP) of Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, increased 6.3 percent year-on-year to 36.34 billion yuan ($5.38 billion) in the first half of 2022. 

The GDP growth was 1.7 percentage points higher than the city average.

The added values of the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of the economy reached 851 million yuan, 22.35 billion yuan, and 13.13 billion yuan, up 5.3 percent, 10.4 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively. The three sectors accounted for 2.34 percent, 61.52 percent and 36.14 percent of the district's GDP during this period. 

The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size – those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more – grew 12.2 percent year-on-year.

The district's fixed asset investment (5 million yuan and above, excluding cross-regional projects) increased 6.8 percent year-on-year.

Total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 17.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.6 percent. 

The per capita disposable income of urban permanent residents rose 5.9 percent year-on-year to 24,196 yuan, while that of rural permanent residents was 11,119 yuan, up 6.8 percent year-on-year.
