Summer tourism, recreation event launched in Huaxi

The launch ceremony of the 2022 Huaxi Summer Season series of activities was held in Shizi Street in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 20.

District authorities and more than 30 local cultural and tourism enterprises and associations have helped organize the event, which will run until late October.

The launch ceremony presented the core content and various activities of this year's Huaxi Summer Season through dances, chants and on-site promotions. 

Focusing on the integration of tourism with culture, folk customs, sports and music, this year's Huaxi Summer Season will stage more than 100 activities concerning intangible cultural heritage, camping, music festivals, hiking, rock climbing, and motorcycle tours, showing the district's cool climate in summer, beautiful local landscapes and diverse lifestyles. 

A series of nighttime tours such as fluorescent night running, night parties, camping and stargazing will also be held during the three-month tourism event.
