The 2022 "Xi Shan Chun Xing" art and calligraphy exhibition was launched in Huaxi district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 11.
The event was hosted by the Guizhou Department of Education, Guizhou Department of Culture and Tourism, Guizhou Federation of Literature and Art Circles, and Huaxi district authorities.
At the opening ceremony, in addition to theatrical performances, 12 calligraphers and painters created calligraphy and painting works on site.
This year's calligraphy and painting exhibition collection activity received more than 2,000 manuscripts from all over the province. In the end, six first prizes, eight second prizes, 10 third prizes and 12 excellence awards were awarded in the fine arts category, and seven first prizes, nine second prizes, 11 third prizes, and 13 excellence awards were given in the calligraphy category.
More than 220 collected calligraphy and fine arts pieces will be put on display in two months.
In recent years, Huaxi has held a series of activities to improve its cultural and tourism reputation and promote the high-quality development of local cultural tourism.
