Tourism stimulates Huaxi's development vitality

Six tourism projects with a total investment of 1.96 billion yuan ($306.08 million) have been under construction in the first quarter in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. 

This year, Huaxi has planned and reserved a number of projects with large investments and strong support for the high-quality development of the local economy.

One of the projects is the Guizhou Huaxi International Mountain Sports Cultural Tourism Resort to be built in the south of Huaxi district, which is a model project for promoting new urbanization, agricultural modernization and tourism.

It will be an international mountain sports tourism and vacation destination, new urban-rural integration demonstration area, rural vitalization demonstration area and national health care demonstration area.

The district, a national demonstration area for all-for-one tourism, has continuously improved its cultural tourism infrastructure and the quality of public cultural services, strengthened the development of cultural tourism products, and stimulated cultural tourism consumption for the past several years. 

It has promoted rural tourism in Longjing village in Qingyan town and Raorao village in Gaopo township, developed new business models integrating tourism with agriculture and sports, launched a series of nighttime cultural tourism products, and held a number of cultural tourism activities, transforming itself from a district rich in tourism potential to one with a strong tourism sector.

Next, Huaxi will make focus on product supply, business cultivation, and service optimization to raise its tourism profile. 

It will expand and improve the quality of Qingyan Ancient Town, Tianhetan science area, and Huaxi Park; explore the mountain tourism market by building an international mountain sports and leisure resort; explore historical relics related to the history of the Long March by the Communist Party of China by accelerating the construction of the Huaxi section of the Long March National Cultural Park; and introduce more mid-to-high-end resort hotels and high-quality homestay brands.
