A launch ceremony for 67 projects was held in Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 27.
The projects, with a total investment of 10.36 billion yuan ($1.64 billion), consist of 15 new industrialization projects, 26 new urbanization projects, 20 agricultural modernization projects and six tourism development projects.
The projects are meant to further promote the formation of industrial clusters in Huaxi, enhance quality of life for residents of Huaxi, improve agricultural infrastructure and public services, build a modern agricultural industrial system, extend the tourism industrial chain and improve service quality.
