The first session of the 11th Huaxi district committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held on Jan 6-9 in Huaxi district of Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The four-day conference's opening and closing ceremonies were attended, respectively, by 226 and 227 CPPCC Huaxi district committee members – including Lu Zhu, chairwoman of the CPPCC Huaxi district committee.

She said that in the current year, the committee would continue to play a positive role as a specialized political advisory body and contribute to implementing the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) in the district.
Peng Zhiwei, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Huaxi district committee, reported on the handling of 409 proposals submitted by political advisers since the first session of the 10th CPPCC Huaxi district committee in January 2017.
