The government of Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, signed strategic partnership agreements with Guizhou University and Guizhou Minzu University on Dec 18.
Under the accords, Huaxi and Guizhou University will extend cooperation in scientific and technological projects, personnel training and in the development of tech innovation platforms. They will partner up in big data services, technological assistance to agriculture, education assistance, high-level talent recruitment and development, as well as the transfer and transformation (commercialization) of research achievements.
For its part, Guizhou Minzu University will provide technical support, training and guidance for the district in the fields of ethnic science, ethnic culture and art, ethnic cultural industry development, intangible cultural heritage, ethnic economic research and rural revitalization.
Huaxi district will take the partnerships as an opportunity to solve the concerns of colleges and universities in terms of campus safety and the education of the children of faculty and staff members.
It will establish a platform for information exchanges on technical needs and tech achievement transfers, and continue to expand school-government cooperation, as well as offer comprehensive services and guarantees for the work force in Guiyang and the nearby Guian New Area.
Currently, Huaxi has been developing as an innovation and entrepreneurship hub for talent by signing cooperation agreements with universities in the district and building college innovation incubators.
That's to support the development of seven manufacturing industries and the software and information service sectors in Guiyang and the Guian New Area.
