Huaxi district moves to boost graduate employment

The Guiyang and Guian New Area Employment and Entrepreneurship Fair – targeting the year 2022 graduates – was held on Dec 16 on the campus of Guizhou University in Huaxi district of Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Huaxi district organized for a number of government departments to arrange to recruit and select positions to be on offer, based on the needs of the graduates and the development needs of the district's key industries, projects and businesses – singling out 821 positions.

At the fair, briefings were given to the graduates on the new recruitment, employment and entrepreneurship support policies, as well as on the detailed requirements for various posts and information on the key enterprises in the district.

The graduates got answers to their questions about the professions in demand and employment needs.

The fair saw more than 1,500 visits on the day and employers received over 1,100 resumes, including 790 from graduates with a master's degree or above. More than 80 people reached preliminary employment agreements with employers attending the fair.

Huaxi district has been building up a top talent training system, while promoting the introduction of talent. 

The district has compiled a plan for developing local talent in the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), revised a circular about high-level talent introduction and service management measures, as well as enacted a series of policies to improve the local environment for talent development.
