Shuai Changwen, champion of the women's single 200m canoe sprint in the 14th National Games, arrived home in Mengguan Miao and Bouyei township in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Sept 27.
The locals welcomed Shuai with cheers and applause.

"She brings honor to her family, her school, Huaxi district, Guiyang, and Guizhou province. I am proud of her," said Song Chuangui, president of Mengguan Primary School.
In the women's single 200m canoe sprint of the 14th National Games held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Sept 23, Shuai won gold with a time of 45.397 seconds.
This was also the first gold medal won by a Guiyang athlete in the 14th National Games.
