During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday on Sept 19-21, Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 514,710 visits and earned 265.1 million yuan ($41 million) in tourism revenue.
Various scenic spots in the district launched a number of cultural tourism activities over the break.
Tianhetan Scenic Area launched a family trunk market, hanfu parades, and music water shows, while Raorao Camping Base held activities such as lantern riddle-solving, floating river lanterns, and moon cake making.
In recent years, the service facilities and equipment and service quality of various rural tourist attractions in Huaxi have been improved significantly.
Over the three-day holiday, rural tourist villages such as Shanwangmiao and Longjing village in the district attracted a large number of tourists due to their serene natural environments, rich folk cultures, and farming activities.
In addition, the quality of tourism services was improved during the holiday. There were no tourism safety accidents or complaints, and the tourism market was standardized and orderly.
