"When I came to Licun village, I was struck by the grandeur of the mountains and rivers and the rich ethnic customs," Ma said. While in the village, he visited a farmhouse, talked with villagers, and listened to village folk songs and recorded their rhythms.
He also collected the sound of wind, rain, birds, and cicadas in the area.
Licun village is home to people of the Bouyei ethnic group. Choosing to hold the concert is expected to help artists appreciate the natural beauty of Huaxi and experience the cultural charms of Huaxi ethnic villages.
The concert aims to cultivate and improve the music appreciation abilities of rural people and promote rural landscapes and cultural customs, increasing the village's appeal to tourists and investors and accelerating rural revitalization.
