The new outpatient complex for the Huaxi District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine officially started operating on Aug 11.
Established in 1989, the Huaxi District Hospital of TCM is the only second-class TCM hospital in Huaxi district – located in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The hospital integrates medical treatment and preventive healthcare, based on the characteristics of TCM.
The hospital used to have only a 4,800-square-meter outpatient complex, which could no longer meet the needs of patients.
In addition to the outpatient clinics and inpatient wards for internal medicine and TCM clinics, the new outpatient building has expanded the scope of its services and added stomatology, dermatology outpatient and pediatric wards.
A new display area for TCM specimens and a display cabinet for precious Chinese medicinal materials have also reportedly been added.
After the new outpatient complex building put in use, it will further optimize the functional layout and improve the medical conditions of the public effectively.
