A total of 4,789 students from Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, are taking the gaokao - the national college entrance exam - on June 7 and 8.

For this year's gaokao, Huaxi has set up five testing sites: Tsinghua High School, Guizhou University High School, Guiyang Minority Middle School, Guiyang No 25 Middle School, and Xinan High School.
The environmental protection, urban management, public security, and other departments of the district are working hard to make sure a quiet environment for test-takers.

In addition, the traffic control department has increased temporary traffic controls on important roads and arranged for emergency police vehicles to create a safe and orderly examination environment.
Everybody is encouraged to use public transportation as much as possible and to not honk horns around testing sites so as not to disturb test-takers.
