Huaxi district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will pay great attention to improving people's livelihoods in 2021, covering numerous areas such as employment and entrepreneurship, education quality improvement, medical health, rural revitalization, ecological construction and living environment.
The district will implement the employment and entrepreneurship project. Through the project, 12,350 new jobs will be created in urban areas of the district, and the registered urban unemployment rate will be controlled within 5 percent.
One new technology business incubator (maker space) at or above the municipal level will be added, along with six newly-incubated companies (startup teams).
Regarding education quality improvement, Huaxi will build, renovate and expand three primary schools, adding 4,000 study positions.
With a focus on medical health, the district will complete the standardized construction of the public office of the Yangguang Sub-district Community Health Service Center. It will also build two smart fitness stations and two multi-functional stadiums.
In terms of rural revitalization, Huaxi will build 8,200 mu (546.67 hectares) of high-standard farmland and develop 4,500 mu of large-scale planting areas.
Also, 1,500 toilets will be renovated and upgraded in rural areas.
Meanwhile, Huaxi will implement the renovation of 3,310 family homes in shantytowns and the renovation of 2,017 old communities.
Traffic infrastructure construction is another key task for the district. It will renovate and upgrade 30.33 kilometers of county and township roads, complete three urban traffic jam management projects and add 1,343 public parking spaces.
It will also complete the construction of the tourist ring road in Gaopo town and start the construction of 8.3 km of tourist roads in the district.
