A joint exhibition of the landscape paintings of Li Xiaosong and Shi Wenhui kicked off on Oct 27 in Banqiao Art Village in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, attracting many art lovers.
The exhibition aims to build a learning and communication platform for calligraphy and painting enthusiasts and showcase the development achievements of calligraphy and painting in Huaxi district.

Running to Nov 19, the event will play a positive role in further improving the levels of painting and calligraphy and promoting the development of cultural undertakings in the district.
Li Xiaosong is from Zibo city in Shandong province. He is currently a painter and researcher at the Chinese National Academy of Arts, a tutor at the Li Xiaosong art studio in the School of Continuing Education at Renmin University of China, as well as a member of the Chinese Artists Association.

His unique understanding of landscape painting enjoys a high reputation in China.
Shi Wenhui, from Yuqing county in Guizhou province, is currently a member of the Calligraphy Education Committee of the Chinese Education Society, a director of the Guizhou Provincial Calligraphers Association, as well as a member of the Guizhou Artists Association.
He is also the chairman of the Huaxi district federation of literature and art and chairman of the Huaxi district artists association.
