A ceremony to mark the completion of key drainage facilities at Guizhou Jiangjunshan Hospital was held in Huaxi district in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China’s Guizhou province on Feb 19, hospital officials said.
The facilities were constructed at no charge by China Construction Science and Technology Jiuzhou Co. Around 1.05 million yuan ($149,300) was put into the construction of the facilities.
“It took only two and a half days to finish, as our construction workers were split into three work shifts on the construction site to guarantee progress,” said Li Sheng, general manager of the company.
“It has won us all valuable time in the battle against virus prevention and control,” Li added.
Guizhou Jiangjunshan Hospital is a newly constructed designated hospital for coronavirus treatment in Guizhou province. The first phase of the hospital went into use on Feb 15.
It covers an area of about 30,000 square meters and has 415 beds, including 30 intensive care unit wards.
It also includes a living area for more than 700 medical staff.
Officials said the hospital cost 270 million yuan to build.
