The National Data Administration held a meeting on Sept 12 to promote the full-scale digital transformation of cities in Chongqing. The meeting announced the first 50 cases of full-scale digital transformation in cities.
These cases cover urban data infrastructure, development and utilization of data resources, urban digital economy, digital governance, digital public services, and digital scenario applications.
Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, stood out from nearly 300 cases nationwide with its outstanding performance in data system construction and scenario applications.
In recent years, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have actively explored data systems, management systems, and data circulation and application to overcome bottlenecks restricting the release of data value.
Guiyang and Gui'an have built a data zone relying on the Guizhou provincial data sharing and exchange platform. They have migrated all data from the original Guiyang municipal sharing and exchange platform to the zone and integrated provincial, city, and district data platforms, systems, and management.
This approach provides for their full-scale digital transformation. Guiyang and Gui'an will continue to deepen the reform of market-oriented allocation of data elements, promote efficient circulation and application of data elements, accelerate the construction of innovative areas for digital economic development, and contribute to the construction of Digital China.
