Guiyang bureau helps match enterprises with sci-tech talent

The Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area Production-Talent Matching Event was held in the Guizhou Science City on June 27.

The event, organized by the Guiyang bureau of science and technology and the Huaxi University City administrative committee, aims to encourage high-level talent from universities and research institutions to engage in cutting edge scientific research. The initiative is designed to boost enterprise technological innovation and foster the development of new quality productive forces.

To achieve this, the bureau has established new pathways for talent and technology to find their way to enterprises.

Efforts are being made to build a platform for universities, research institutions, and enterprises to match with each other, facilitating mutual selection between university teachers willing to engage in technological innovation part-time and enterprises.

In addition, the bureau relies on sci-tech commissioners to help enterprises refine their technological needs, formulate solutions to their technical problems, and conduct scientific research or industrializing research achievements.

At present, the bureau has collected talent needs from over 90 enterprises and conducted preliminary matching with universities, pairing over 180 university teachers.

To promote long-term production-talent matching, the bureau will support more professional and technical personnel in serving as part-time science commissioners at enterprises, encourage more enterprises to establish "scientist workstations", and build talent carriers for cooperation with academicians' core teams and leading talent. This initiative aims to attract more outstanding talent to collaborate with Guiyang and Gui'an.
