Gui'an's computing power capability ranks among top in China

According to an exchange conference held on June 5, Gui'an New Area of Southwest China's Guizhou province has so far introduced a total of 20 large-scale data (smart computing) centers, deployed 93,600 smart computing chips, and ranked among the top in China in terms of its comprehensive computing power capability.

In recent years, Gui'an has been focusing on building a nationwide computing power guarantee base, consolidating its advantages in big data development, and accelerating the high-quality development of emerging industries such as big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, making digital economy an important channel for Gui'an to develop new quality productive forces.

To date, Gui'an is home to 10 large-scale data or smart computing centers which are currently operating, four data centers which are under construction, and six data centers which are contracted and awaiting construction.

In 2023, Gui'an's investment in the big data field increased by 27.1 percent year-on-year, accounting for 37.8 percent of its total investment. In 2024, Gui'an's investment in big data will further increase, with an expected year-on-year growth of 31 percent.

To date, Guiyang Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City is home to 987 enterprises, 664 of which are related to big data, accounting for 67.2 percent of the total.

In 2024, the innovation city will focus on building three major industrial clusters focusing on digital economy, advanced equipment manufacturing, as well as new energy and new materials, respectively.

By attracting investment in the headquarters economy, digital economy, and productive and life service industries, the innovation city will introduce a group of major high-quality projects.
