In 2023, Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, continued to prioritize the big data industry, focusing on industrial development, project construction, and optimizing its business environment.
The sci-tech city achieved a total output value of 2.81 billion yuan ($391 million), marking a 56-percent year-on-year increase. Additionally, it accomplished an industrial value-added output of 589 million yuan, reflecting a 54-percent year-on-year growth.
In the service sector, the sci-tech city recorded a total revenue of 65.51 billion yuan, showing a 42.1-percent year-on-year increase. It successfully attracted 818 registered enterprises with a total registered capital of 58.08 billion yuan, and welcomed 409 new registered enterprises with a registered capital of 40.66 billion yuan.
Currently, the city's digital industrialization is thriving, bringing immense opportunities for the development of the digital economy in Guiyang and Gui'an New Area. Huawei's Innovation Center will assist in building a digital economic industrial ecosystem alliance in Gui'an, solidifying its position as a hub for digital economic innovation and contributing to the cultivation of a comprehensive industrial ecosystem in Guiyang and Gui'an.
Qiu Jian, general manager of Guizhou Chinasoft International Information Technology Co, expressed confidence in the development of Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City.
Since June of last year, Guizhou Chinasoft has been gradually relocating a significant portion of its business to Guizhou. This year, the company plans to further increase its investment, introduce 50 to 100 postgraduates into the industry, and transfer some of its overseas business to the city. It aims to grow together with the Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City.
