The phase two main structure of the Unicom Guanshanhu Data Center project in Guiyang, Guizhou province, has been completed, with the installation of electrical equipment already underway.
The data center construction is taking shape and is expected to be completed and delivered by December this year.
With the project's final stage, the procured mechanical and electrical equipment has arrived chiefly, and some have started installation. The application for electricity usage is currently being processed, and the data center will be ready for operation upon completion.
To effectively implement the national strategy of channeling computing resources from the east to the west, Guizhou Unicom has fully utilized its advantages to accelerate the construction of new infrastructure and establish a "new foundation" for data. This aims to promote the development of new data centers.
In May last year, Guizhou Unicom initiated demonstration projects focusing on autonomous controllable computing power and efficient computing power scheduling. Subsequently, it achieved successful selection as one of the key projects within the first wave of "National Integrated Computing Power Network Hub Nodes" in Guizhou province. This distinction positions Guizhou Unicom as the sole operator enterprise in the province to concurrently hold approval for two projects.
In July of the same year, the construction of Guian Cloud Data Center Phase 2 and Guanshanhu Data Center was launched, with a total construction area of 40,000 square meters.
