The Global Big Data Exchange – situated in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on Aug 19 signed an important agreement with the Shenzhen Data Exchange, in South China's Guangdong province, that is designed to boost their digital economies.
Under the agreement, they will cooperate on data related standards, data ecosystem construction and computing power resources, as well as explore the trade in trans-industry data elements.
Chen Wei, executive director of Global Big Data Exchange, said that currently the exchange collected government data from more than 80 government departments. He hoped that the agreement would lead to realizing the commercial impact of Guizhou's government data.
Li Hongguang, president of the Shenzhen Data Exchange, said the agreement would give full play to Guiyang's advantages in infrastructure and data resources. He added that it would achieve Shenzhen's advantages in market coordination, product R&D and commercial promotions – boosting the trans-region circulation of data elements.
