According to the 2021 comprehensive power index of China's internet companies – released by the Internet Society of China on Nov 26 – groups from the city of Guiyang did extraordinarily well.
The Manbang Group and Guiyang Longmaster Information & Technology Co – both based in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – ranked 47th and 58th among the country's top 100 internet companies.
In recent years, Guiyang and Guian New Area have grown increasingly more appealing to internet companies. Guiyang's information technology service cluster is regarded as a national strategic emerging industrial hub and reports are that it generated business income of 14.91 billion yuan ($2.33 billion) in 2020, an increase of 50.1 percent year-on-year.
As a Guiyang-based tech innovation company, Manbang has developed into a global leader as a leading digital freight transportation platform. In 2020, the group was listed in China's top 100 companies for its internet performance on the Hurun Global Unicorn List – as well as on the China Torch list of unicorns and on the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing's list of advanced companies in fighting the novel coronavirus.
This year, Manbang was listed among China's top 500 service companies and among the top 500 private companies in R&D investment.
Meanwhile, as one of Guizhou's first technology companies involved in big data, Longmaster has been devoted to R&D of the internet, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.
To date, Longmaster has carried out the development of products involving internet socialization, mobile communications, cloud computing and the integration of big data and medical treatments.
