Guizhou media company to help develop smart sports

Guizhou Broadcasting & TV Information Network Co recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Sport Administration of Guizhou Province to build the province into a national demonstration area for smart sports.

The two sides will cooperate to broadcast live sports events, operate offline events and drive innovation of sports formats, relying on smart technologies including big data, artificial intelligence and 5G.

The company will achieve the full radio, television and optical fiber coverage for sports venues throughout the province to lay a foundation for constructing smart stadiums, among other projects. The smart stadiums will be equipped with intelligent terminals and service facilities to offer a better experience.

The two sides will jointly create a Guizhou characteristic sports brand and form an industrial line integrating sports events, training, products and services, expanding the influence of sports culture and promoting the economic development of sports events.

Also, the two sides plan to establish a public service system for national fitness by offering a wealth of recreation and entertainment options that cover tourism, culture and history.

The broadcasting company and provincial sport administration said that they would spare no effort to promote the deep integration of Guizhou's national fitness, national health and information network data resources, helping to build the province into a national demonstration area for smart sports.
