Guiyang wins award in law-based governance

Southwestern city Guiyang's legislative support in the development of its big data industry was recently named as one of the first batch of pilot projects for the construction of government under the rule of law.

In recent years,the city has formulated a series of local laws and regulations to promote the development of the big data industry in the fields of application, sharing, openness and security management.

The country's first local regulation aimed at governmental data-sharing and openness was implemented in Guiyang in May 2017, and the first local regulation of big data security management was implemented in October 2018.

In January 2019, Guiyang took the lead in implementing laws and regulations on the standardized collection and storage of health and medical data.

It's been reported that the selection of pilot areas and projects for the construction of government under the rule of law was started in July 2019. All regions across the country have devoted themselves to law-based administration and law-based governance and have made remarkable achievements.
