As the novel coronavirus epidemic is gradually being brought under control, cloud working has become an important way for companies in Southwest China's Guizhou province to resume work and production.
The Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou province recently issued a list of recommendations -- including 47 cloud service providers and 308 preferential cloud service apps – to help businesses resume work on the cloud during the epidemic outbreak.
As one of the cloud service providers on the list, the Guizhou Huawei Cloud has promoted Welink, a cloud-based office platform, to ensure workers work from home to avoid the coronavirus epidemic.
The platform will provide 1,000 accounts for free until June 1. Enterprises can use the platform for video conferencing.
A telecommuting platform developed by Inspur Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Technology Co Ltd provides all-round services including epidemic prevention statistics, attendance management and efficient communications.
Tencent Haina, a smart community management system, provides Enterprise WeChat for free. The Enterprise WeChat can accommodate 10,000 employees and up to 300 employees can hold a voice or video conference together. It also provides functions including remote clock ins, online approval and cloud storage.
Statistics from the province's Big Data Development Administration show that the percentage of Guizhou's businesses on the cloud -- those who run their business with the help of cloud computing and storage -- has reached 41.6 percent. Real economy businesses in Guizhou, especially middle and small-sized enterprises, have enjoyed higher efficiency with less operational costs due to their use of cloud services.
