A WeChat mini program was pressed into use in early February to fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, according to local officials.
The WeChat mini program, jointly developed by the Guiyang municipal bureau of big data development and management and Tencent Cloud, can help residents staying indoors get the city's current coronavirus outbreak situation and the latest information about how to tackle the epidemic.
By tapping Epidemic prevention on the menu, users can learn about the epidemic-related issues.
Pressing the menu button Epidemic declaration, users can report the health condition of themselves and their family. They can also check whether they have been in contact with confirmed or suspected cases according to the official announcement.
With the menu choice Epidemic dynamic, users can check the current data about confirmed cases, suspected cases, cured cases and deaths.
Officials said that users can also search information about the city's fever clinics and hospitals designated to treat coronavirus patients
