Huawei cloud platform boosts Guiyang software industry

The Huawei software development cloud platform has upgraded the quality and efficiency of software development enterprises, boosting the expansion of the Guiyang software industry, according to local officials.

The platform was developed by Huawei Technologies Co Ltd and launched in Guiyang in March 2018, to boost the quick development of local software companies and information technology service providers.

To date, the platform has provided cloud and software development services to 231 enterprises and universities in Guizhou province, providing professional consulting and planning services on 3,317 occasions, officials said.

With its help, the average research and development cost of cloud enterprises has been reduced by 33 percent and the production efficiency increased by 36 percent.

Taking Guizhou Lichuang Technology Development Co Ltd as an example, it completed 12 projects on the platform, greatly improving its efficiency in research and development, a company spokesman said.

By holding activities and sending experts, its innovation center has provided a platform for communications and cooperation for Guizhou-based software enterprises, benefiting 3,419 entrepreneurs since it went into operation. It also recommended that 10 enterprises in the province collaborate on quality projects at a major summit staged by Huawei.

In addition, the innovation center built the platform into a training facility for software professionals, promoting the practical teaching of software majors in Guizhou colleges and universities.

Officials said that in the future, Guiyang will bring more strategic partners in to expand the development of the software industry, providing more software information enterprises with high-quality services to enhance their competitiveness.
