Guiyang expands 'old-for-new' home-buying program

To support residents upgrading their homes and boost transactions of both new and second‑hand properties, the Guiyang bureau of housing and urban-rural development has continued its "old-for-new" home-buying program, helping lower moving costs and enhance transaction efficiency.

So far, 37 projects have been announced in seven batches under the program across Guiyang. The seventh batch, recently announced, offers additional exclusive incentives on top of existing government policy support.

Guiyang has also established a dedicated green channel for "old-for-new" housing transactions and coordinated developers and financial institutions to provide services in advance, helping residents sell their old homes, purchase new ones, apply for loans, and complete transaction procedures. Eligible homebuyers can also receive assistance in accessing relevant policy incentives.

The "Guiyang Zhufang" WeChat applet will launch an online section for "old-for-new" housing listings, offering up-to-date information on available homes, prices and transaction data.
