Guiyang community selected as national property management model

Zhongtian Garden Community in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently selected for the national "Strengthening Property Management and Building Beautiful Homes Together" model. It is one of only three communities in Guizhou and the only one in Guiyang to be selected.

The selection focuses on key areas such as improving community governance, enhancing property services, and optimizing living environments, aiming to promote advanced grassroots property management practices nationwide.

Walking through the community, it is hard to believe that it has been around for 27 years. Tree-lined pathways provide a pleasant environment for elderly residents to walk, clean and well-maintained corridors are filled with friendly greetings between neighbors, and renovated recreational squares offer children space to play.

Since its democratic establishment in 2002, the homeowners' committee of Zhongtian Garden has played an active role in collecting residents' opinions, coordinating disputes, and supporting landscaping maintenance and security inspections, helping the property management company carry out its work more efficiently.

In 2009, the committee established a special fund using public revenues to organize biannual trips for elderly residents. In 2014, the "Zhongtian Garden Happiness Association", composed mainly of retired residents, was founded to engage in public welfare, community services, and elderly care activities.

The community has also set up a rider service station and a service hub, providing delivery workers with rest and charging facilities while also offering residents a place to socialize.

In recent years, the community has carried out improvement projects focusing on safety upgrades, environmental enhancement, facility renovation, and quality-of-life improvements. It has completed over 100 projects, including greening upgrades, elevator replacements, parking lot renovation, road resurfacing, exterior wall repairs, and the addition of recreational facilities.
