Guiyang city is simultaneously advancing several urban village redevelopment projects, using upgraded construction technologies to accelerate resettlement housing development.

In Yunyan district, Changchong resettlement housing at Luchongguan sub-district utilizes Guizhou province's first intelligent jacking integrated construction platform, dubbed the "cloud construction factory".

It enables continuous, all-weather operations, reducing the construction cycle for a single floor from 6-6.5 days to just five days. The No 3 building of the project has already been topped out, and the No 5 building is set to be topped out this month. Other buildings are currently in the foundation or main-structure construction phase, with plans to complete topping out of all buildings by the Spring Festival in 2027.

The Shiban area urban village redevelopment project in Huaxi district involves a total investment of 880 million yuan ($121 million), spanning about 8.27 hectares and providing a total building area of 280,000 square meters. The project includes 13 residential buildings and one kindergarten, with 1,776 resettlement units planned. The overall construction progress of the project currently stands at 75 percent, with interior and exterior decoration, utility networks, and fire safety installations underway.

The project is scheduled for delivery in September 2026, featuring accompanying facilities such as elderly care, community health services, and early childhood education services.

In 2026, Guiyang plans to launch 158 new urban renewal projects, with a combined investment of 14.23 billion yuan. All 152 ongoing projects citywide have resumed construction, with plans to achieve 3.03 billion yuan in investment in the first quarter.
