Guiyang and Gui'an attract tourists with 'Cool Guiyang' brand

In recent years, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have been promoting tourism by focusing on their resources, customer sources, and services.

Through the creation of the "Cool Guiyang" city brand, they offer visitors a memorable experience across six key areas: health, culture, sightseeing, food, shopping, and travel. This initiative is helping to accelerate the development of the local tourism industry.

With a focus on these six areas, Guiyang and Gui'an have launched a series of "tourism season" activities, including fireworks season, flower viewing season, sharing season for both locals and tourists, summer heat-avoiding season, and hot spring season, creating a robust tourism market year-round.

Behind the rapid development of the tourism industry in recent years is Guiyang's exploration and practice of the integration of culture and tourism. By enhancing the city's image, creating new tourism products and optimizing service quality, Guiyang is attracting more and more domestic and international tourists.

Recently, Ctrip's "2024 summer travel market report" revealed that Guiyang ranked first as a summer resort. As of Aug 25, Guiyang's inbound tourism reservations for the summer had increased by 70 percent year-on-year, and domestic flight ticket orders increased by 16 percent year-on-year.

Qianlingshan Park, as a landmark scenic spot in Guiyang, has long been a popular destination for tourists. Now, the "free zoo admission" and "free panda viewing" policies have further boosted the popularity of the park.

As the only national 5A-level tourist attraction in Guiyang, Qingyan Ancient Town has launched the "Qingyan exploration" project in response to growing demand from tourists.

Today, Guiyang and Gui'an have become a popular summer resort, a city of music, and a food paradise for an increasing number of domestic and international tourists.
