Guizhou's first municipal industry-education alliance established in Guian

The first city-region industry-education alliance in Guizhou, the Guiyang-Guian big data industry-education alliance, was established at Guizhou College of Electronic Science and Technology in Guian New Area on May 28.

According to the Ministry of Education, the creation of municipal industry-educational alliances was recently initiated to build 50 by the end of 2023, another 50 by the end of 2024, and a total of around 150 by 2025.

To achieve this strategic task, the Guian New Area Management Committee, Guizhou College of Electronic Science and Technology, and Guizhou Big Data Group jointly built the first municipal industry-education alliance in the province.

The alliance comprises four government departments, 23 middle-higher education institutions, 17 enterprises, four scientific research institutions, and two academic associations.

Upon its establishment, the focus will be on promoting the construction of an alliance organization structure that revolves around government, enterprises, schools, and scientific research institutions, strengthening the institutional mechanisms in place.

It will innovate operating and management models, set up an operating company, and conduct market-oriented operations with schools and enterprises, among other entities.

The alliance will focus on serving the comprehensive development of people, economic and social development, and significant national strategies. It will establish a collaborative platform for industry, education, and research institutions for cultivating talents in Guian.

It will also build a resource pool for employee training, promoting personnel interaction, sharing educational resources, and jointly incubating technology products and achievements.

In terms of service development, the alliance will gather government policy resources, university talent resources, enterprise technology incubation and talent practice resources, and scientific research institution R&D resources.

It will also promote establishing a big data common technology service platform, build an advanced technology achievement commercialization center in Guian, cultivate considerable data talents, promote the employment and entrepreneurship of veterans, and establish big data talent cultivation standards.
