The Guiyang bureau of housing and urban-rural development released the 2022 talent housing security plan, panoramic distribution map and electronic map of housing in Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province to make it easier for people to find housing as well as provide more accurate housing information.
In 2022, Guiyang and Guian made plans to meet the housing needs of talent and minimize the cost of living for talent through the combination of rent and purchase plus housing subsidies.
The plan proposes that by making full use of the existing talent apartments, Guiyang and Guian should seek to build no less than 100,000 affordable rental housing units during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), 70 percent of which will be used for various types of talent housing security.
In principle, the rent will be set at about 80 percent of the assessed rent for rental housing in the same location and of equal quality.
Guiyang will seek to build 16,000 rooms in 2022, 20,000 rooms in 2023, and 34,000 rooms in 2024, with no less than 70,000 units to be completed by the end of 2024.
New college students who rent talent apartments and talent guaranteed rental housing can apply for a certain amount of rental subsidies after the rental unit is successfully allocated.
