The Guiyang bureau of housing and urban-rural development – located in the city of Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province – has since March 12 been carrying out investigation and rectification work on hidden safety risks in the construction field. The first phase of the investigation based on the list of 882 projects has already been completed.
To consolidate the results of the previous inspection of the city's construction site safety, the bureau established a leading group for the inspection with seven inspection teams under its supervision.
During the inspection, seven teams investigated potential safety hazards for all housing construction and municipal infrastructure projects in the city. The teams then took measures to rectify the problems they found.
They urged enterprises to rectify problems, implement closed-loop management, and form a list of listed and supervised projects to ensure safety in the construction field.
