Guiyang releases notice for supervision of rural houses

In order to promote the supervision on rural houses safety and ensure the safety of residents and their property, the Guiyang bureau of housing and urban-rural development issued the following notice on March 4.

The housing and urban-rural development departments of all districts should ensure the quality and safety of self-built houses in rural areas that have been approved for homesteads and rural planning permits.

Related departments should regularly train construction workers to provide talent guarantees for regulating the quality and safety of self-built housing by rural residents.

As of Feb 28 this year, a total of 4,012 households have been identified as dilapidated, 3,819 households have been renovated, and the remaining 193 households have yet to be renovated (including 151 households in Yunyan district, 26 households in Huaxi district, 14 households in Guanshanhu district, and two households in Kaiyang county).

Relevant districts and counties must ensure that renovations are completed by the end of June. Relevant departments must formulate disposal measures for the classification of dangerous houses and immediately organize the demolition of those that can be demolished to eliminate security risks.
