Guiyang continues to renovate farm houses

Guiyang began to implement the livable farm houses construction project in 2021, mainly improving the front courtyards and backyards as well as some functions of the houses, and dividing the kitchen, toilet, bedroom.

The renovation needs to ensure that the villages have a unified architectural style, all necessary facilities, and distinctive features.

Guiyang renovated 1,000 rural farmhouses in 2021, including 465 in Xifeng county, 400 in Xiuwen county, and 135 in Guanshanhu district.

"I have lived in this house for 15 years. I have taken advantage of this opportunity to renovate my courtyard and backyard. It is much cleaner and tidier," a villager in Xiuwen county said with smile on his face.

This year, Guiyang will implement 10,000 farmhouse style renovations. It will give priority to villages that are "needed by industrial development, concentrated in construction projects, and expected by grassroots people" to be included in the 2022 rural house style renovation plan.

In addition, Guiyang will formulate a local farm house style renovation plan to ensure the effective improvement of the rural style.

According to the arrangement, the household survey and mobilization work will be completed in March, half of the workload will be completed in June, and everything else will be completed in October.
