Guiyang officials focus on Metro Line 3 construction

Responding to the municipal government's call to carry out construction projects that can be dealt with in the first quarter of this year, officials from the Guiyang construction management office recently launched field research on phase one construction sites for the city's Metro Line 3.

Enterprises involved were urged to implement strict measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic during the Spring Festival holiday that started from Jan 31 and ran through Feb 6.

They also offered guidance and assistance to businesses in their work and operation resumption procedures when the holiday was over.

The 18 construction sites for the first phase continued working during the holiday. Officials in the construction office were assigned to take shift duties to prevent any emergencies from happening.

Since Feb 7 – the first weekday after the festival, the office has launched an investigation on the major administrative officers back to work of the project, and checked on the potential safety hazard of the construction site.

By Feb 9, 62 percent of staff members of the project have resumed work.
